LifeWave Patching Education Through Personal Experience - Blog 11

The following is a recap of some of the questions and answers that were made during an episode of the Ask the Doctors Podcast with Dr. Karen Kan & Dr. Dennis Lobstein. These two individuals are amazing contributors to the LifeWave education community and I owe a lot of my learning and understanding around patching to their continual contribution to the community. I have recapped these questions to help me better learn and digest the information they share on their podcast. I trust you get the same value form them as I have.

During the Q&A session, several callers had inquiries regarding the patching techniques and specific points in relation to the different symptoms that they have been experiencing, looking for advice to help symptoms using LifeWave patches. Here are the summarized responses provided by Dr. Dennis and Dr. Karen:

Q & A Callers

Sue reached out for advice on managing her sensitivity to chlorine in swimming pools, which causes itching and rash. Despite trying various remedies, she's eager to continue her swimming classes and wonders if Glutathione patches might offer relief.

Dr. Dennis explained that itching, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, often relates to wind/movement in the body. He suggested acupuncture points like Gallbladder 20, Gallbladder 31, and Spleen 10 for relief. Dr. Dennis also recommended patch combinations such as IceWave or Energy Enhancer and SP6C patches for bilateral application. Additionally, he mentioned using Glutathione patches for detoxification purposes, suggesting specific application points like Gallbladder 31 and Gallbladder 16 to target itching.

-------------------------------------

Elisha expressed her desire to address the challenges of living with a hysterectomy and prolapsed bladder for four years, seeking solutions to heal her body and strengthen the ligaments supporting her organs.

Dr. Dennis explained that connective tissue plays a crucial role in supporting organs, highlighting Gallbladder 34 as a key point for tonifying connective tissue. He suggested using X39/X49 patches on these points and alternating with others, such as Liver 3 and Gallbladder 34, to balance yin and yang energies.

Additionally, Dr. Dennis discussed the Chong Mai channel's role in regulating the uterus and bladder, emphasizing Spleen 4 as a master point to address prolapse. He recommended patch combinations like X39/X49 or SP6C/Aeon to regulate hormone levels and enhance the synergistic effects of Spleen 4 and Pericardium 6.

-------------------------------------

Helen sought assistance for her gut issues, including lifelong constipation and pendulum swings between constipation and diarrhea due to lactose intolerance, compounded by her age nearing 70. She also expressed a desire for more energy and relief for her irritable bladder.

Dr. Dennis recommended addressing bladder irritability by targeting the front Mu point, Conception Vessel 2 or 3, with an X39 patch. He cited Dr. Karen's endorsement of X39 for gut symptoms. Additionally, he suggested using X39 or Energy Enhancer patches on the lower He Se point (Stomach 37) for colon support, or alternatively, X39/X49 patches.

For addressing colon issues, Dr. Dennis advised using yin and yang patch combinations on Bladder 25, the back Shu point for the colon, and adding an Aeon patch on the Life Gate Governing Vessel 4 between the kidneys. He recommended considering the point to regulate the ileocecal valve and applying an Aeon patch on the lower right belly near the appendix point.

As an alternative, Dr. Dennis proposed patching two inches below Stomach 36 on the right leg, known as Lan Wei Xue, if tender, to address Helen's gut concerns.

-------------------------------------

Eileen expressed concerns about her gassy and bloated stomach, as well as severe constipation resulting from opioid pain medication.

Dr. Dennis advised patching Spleen 6 or 9 to address bloating and gas, with the option of using the X39/49 combination to tonify the spleen. In cases of swelling, he recommended spleen 9 to drain dampness. Additionally, he suggested applying a Nirvana patch on Triple Burner 17 and using supplements to regulate dopamine, which might support opiate production in the body. To manage pain and potentially reduce dependency on opioid medication, he recommended using IceWave as per the brochure instructions.

-------------------------------------

Amy sought assistance for her sluggish metabolism and heart rate fluctuations, experiencing heart flutters reaching 210 beats per minute.

Dr. Dennis recommended addressing the acute symptoms first, advising IceWave patches with the tan on the left Heart 7 and the white on the right Small Intestine 4. Alternatively, he suggested placing the white IceWave on Conception Vessel 17 and the tan IceWave on Great Luo Spleen 21 to support healthy depolarization of the heart. He mentioned Gui Pi Wan, a Chinese herbal remedy for heart fluttering, and suggested incorporating its frequencies with patch application.

For overall metabolism, he proposed using X39/49 with the Five Elements Protocol, placing X39 on the yin points on the left and yang points on the right side of the body. Dr. Karen recommended using the Aeon patch Brain Balancing Protocol to support the autonomic nervous system, particularly behind the right ear, the back of the neck, or at the neck notch at night.

Dr. Dennis highlighted the potential magnesium depletion as a side effect of blood pressure and heart rhythm medications, which could exacerbate heart rhythm issues, suggesting further exploration through Dr. Karen’s resources on Magnesium Oil.

-------------------------------------

Ted recently shared his wife's struggle with severe back pain. He found relief by combining Dr. Dennis' Support Mountain method with advice from Dr. Karen's YouTube video. However, the pain resurfaced when she returned to work as a waitress. To manage her discomfort, they invested in Mineral Force and Mag Force supplements. Her back pain, which extends down her buttocks, worsens during work shifts. They're using X39/X49 during the day and Aeon/SP6C patches at night to address hot flashes. She also experienced muscle spasms during a recent massage.

Dr. Karen suggested that perhaps her body is signaling a need to reconsider her occupation unless she truly enjoys waitressing. Additionally, she recommended Carnosine to alleviate muscle spasms.

Dr. Dennis advised swapping IceWave with X39/49 and incorporating Carnosine Governing Vessel 2 or Aeon at Governing Vessel 4 into the Support Mountain Advanced Back Pain protocol.

-------------------------------------

Mary, a new LifeWave user, seeks relief from vertigo attacks, motion sickness, and altitude sickness symptoms. Dr. Dennis explained that vertigo, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, may stem from Rebellious Stomach Qi rising instead of descending. He suggested using a Y-Age patch on Conception Vessel 12 and applying X39/49 on Kidney 3 to rebalance the nervous system and support stomach Qi.

Dr. Karen recommended placing Aeon patches to reduce inflammation and restore balance to the brain and nervous system, suggesting locations in front of or behind the right ear.

Regarding bug bites causing redness and flakiness, Dr. Dennis attributed these symptoms to damp heat. He recommended clearing the damp heat using X39 on the left Spleen 9 and X49 on the right Stomach 44.

-------------------------------------

Christiana is struggling with dampness and bloating from consuming a lot of raw produce, which leaves her feeling spaced out. She's attempting to introduce more heat into her diet with foods like arugula but lacks experience in dual patching. She owns X39, X49, Glutathione, Aeon, and Carnosine patches, along with a few IceWave patches. She typically opts for a hot meal at dinner. Seeking advice on how to feel more grounded with patches, she notes experiencing yin deficiency.

Dr. Dennis explains that in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), raw foods can deplete Qi, particularly if there's a Qi deficiency. He advises lightly cooking foods to preserve their Qi without overcooking. While raw diets can benefit some in warm climates due to extra enzymes, they may not suit those with Qi deficiencies.

He highlights bloating as a significant symptom of spleen Qi deficiency and recommends avoiding sweet, wet foods, which can worsen the condition. To tonify spleen Qi, he suggests using Spleen 6 bilaterally or Spleen 6 on the left and Stomach 36 on the right, with appropriate patch placements.

For grounding, Dr. Dennis suggests using Spleen 6 on the lower legs. Alternatively, he mentions using a white patch on Large Intestine 18 and a tan patch on the left Stomach 26, known as the Windows of the Sky points.
