1 Of 5 Pillars Of Empowerment: Cause And Effect - Part 2

When you’re at effect, things are really happening to you but you don’t have any power or control over them. When you’re at effect, how you react is associated with being disempowered, frozen, stuck, basically not having any options. It’s a crappy feeling, but that’s ultimately what happens.

If you’re feeling that the things happening to you are the faults of others: your parents, your boss, the government, you keep pushing everything outside of you. Ultimately, what you’re giving away is your personal power. I don’t know about you, but I’d personally like to hold on to as much of that as I possibly can at any given moment.

Another aspect is the choice that we have at any given moment. When we’re at effect and sitting at that side of the equation, we don’t have any choices. If nothing was our creation, how can we choose to uncreate it? On the other hand, on the other side of the equation, if we presuppose that we created everything in our universe, then we get to be in total control over it and by pretending that we created something, we can uncreate it. Now the question is, how do you get to the cause side of the equation?

The first step is awareness. You must become aware of the fact that you’re at effect in the first place to get yourself back to cause. Therefore, when you’re in a situation and you notice you have no control over it, the first step is to catch yourself at the moment. Once you’ve noticed that you’re at effect, it’s all about the language you use with yourself. You can ask yourself this question: “If I truly am the creator of my universe, what would be the purpose of me creating this event or this negative situation? Because I created it for a reason, so if I chose to create this, what would be the purpose of this and what can I learn from it?”

By asking yourself this question, you get to be at cause and extract the learning that allows us to step out of effect and directly into cause into our own personal power. From a simplistic standpoint, we can look at cause and effects as reasons vs. results. On the effects side, we have reasons: reasons you don’t have the things you want in life, why you’re not creating the energy that you want in your life, why you’re not experiencing the relationships or the financial abundance that you want in your life. On the cause side of the equation, we have results and when you move from effects to cause, you increase your results and become more empowered.

And that’s basically what cause and effect is all about. It’s saying I’m responsible for what I’m getting in life. When you take responsibility, suddenly you realize that this world outside of you is your projection.

Unlocking the Mind: NLP, Hypnosis, and Time Line Therapy for Overcoming Dyslexia
Apr 1, 2025

Among the array of learning disabilities that exist, dyslexia happens to be one of the most common, and perhaps the most widely known. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine reported that 80 percent of all those identified as learning-disabled suffer from dyslexia. Unsurprisingly, its popularity makes it the most carefully studied of all the learning disabilities. Scientific inquiries have revealed that dyslexia is a learning disability characterized by difficulty with reading, writing, and spelling, all of which are foundational skills in our educational system. Thus it is often seen as a grave ordeal—a challenge that can feel insurmountable to many children and adults alike.

Unlocking Your Mathematical Potential: How NLP, Hypnosis, and Time Line Therapy® Can Help You Overcome Dyscalculia
Feb 18, 2025

Dyscalculia is a learning difficulty that affects an individual's ability to understand and work with numbers. People with dyscalculia have difficulties understanding the relationships between numbers and computing them. For many children and adults alike, dyscalculia makes even the simplest calculations seem overwhelming, resulting in frustration, anxiety, and a reluctance to engage with anything numerical even though their intelligence is often preserved. People with dyscalculia are often competent in other learning areas, but when it comes to mathematics, they struggle with basic concepts that others find easy.

Is Hypnosis a Solution for Stress and Anxiety Relief?
Jan 6, 2025

For individuals dealing with anxiety, discovering effective coping strategies can be transformative. Although therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy are commonly used, traditional treatments like therapy and medication may not completely ease symptoms for everyone. If you are seeking an additional approach to managing anxiety, clinical hypnotherapy is certainly worth considering.
