A fast and effective way to learn self-hypnosis

Are you interested in a practical way of getting into deep relaxation then self-hypnosis is for you?  Are you ready to have more juice and charge up your batteries and align your purpose to achieve the 'all systems go' state? In this blogpost you will learn all this and more with a self-hypnosis method that will assist you to create positive and practical outcomes rapidly.

It all really depends on what your desired outcome is from the self-hypnosis session.   There is also flexibility on whether or not you choose to take advantage of affirmations (self-developed outcomes prior to embarking).

The method outlined in this article is known as the External/Internal method of self-hypnosis and is the brainchild of by Betty Ericsson.  This method is highly practical and therefore a very popular way to create rapid change.  As mentioned, one major factor that makes this technique so fantastic is the fact that you can take advantage of giving yourself suggestions upon each self-induction. The method is to tell yourself what exactly you want to accomplish prior to going into a hypnotic trance.  This way you will also be able to enjoy all the benefits that Hypnosis has to offer by building rapport between the Conscious and Unconscious mind.

In order to begin the process of self-hypnosis, start by outlining the goal intended. It is very important that you tell yourself what the specific purpose is going to be pertaining to the self-hypnosis session. You must firstly identify the big picture reasons of why you want to make the change. It is also important to get very specific as to what things you will see, hear and feel when you achieve your goal.   Starting a dialogue with the unconscious mind is the foundation of this style of self-hypnosis.  This is done simply, by telling the unconscious mind it will be able to make the changes and shift orientation in toward the direction of the outcome you want to achieve easily and effortlessly.  Another factor that must be considered during the self-hypnosis is how do you want to feel when you’ve completed that process along with the duration that you have in mind for the session.

Now as you begin the induction it is time to start to notice three things.  These things must be in the visual field and observed one at a time.   Go ahead and look at these things successively for a short time.  This is then followed in the same format focusing on three things within the auditory field and then three things that can be felt (kinaesthetic).  Upon completion of three individual pieces of information through the visual, auditory and kinaesthetic filters, you will go ahead and reduce the sensory intake down to two things, then one until you have removed all that you were previously focussing on.

Now on to the next stage-  go ahead and close your eyes and picture a particular thing that makes you happy.  You can either create an image in your mind or you can remember something from your past. Then add another layer of depth by imagining a sound that occurs swiftly - attach a specific feeling that you want to have as you move towards your goal. If you get to the stage that your mind isn’t executing all of the visual auditory and kinaesthetic, you have now reached a state of deep relaxation. Allow this shift to further grow and deepen by committing the mind to wander where it does in a free an uninhibited fashion ensuring to truly trust the unconscious mind to apply the initial suggestion you were focusing on.
