Hypnotherapy for Executives and High Performers

Can hypnotherapy help executives and high performers? Yes. The stress, sleeplessness and relentless pressure many leaders carry are driven by a nervous system stuck in overdrive, not by workload alone. This work uses clinical hypnotherapy and nervous system regulation to address that at the root, so you can perform at your best without running on adrenaline. Confidential sessions in Adelaide or online worldwide.

Who this is for

This work is for founders, executives, senior professionals and high performers, the people who look, from the outside, as though they have it handled, while privately running on empty. If you are successful and driven but wired, exhausted, not sleeping well, or quietly wondering how long you can hold this pace, you are exactly who this is for. Nothing here needs to be visibly wrong. Most of the people who do this work are high functioning and would never call themselves unwell. They just know the current setting is not sustainable.

Why high performers burn out

High performers rarely burn out from workload. They burn out from an alarm that never switches off. Years of pressure, drive and constant vigilance can leave the nervous system stuck in a low-grade fight-or-flight state, always scanning, never fully at rest. That state is useful in short bursts and quietly corrosive over years. It shows up as broken sleep, a mind that will not slow down, a shorter fuse, and the strange sense of being switched on even when there is nothing to fight. You can run a company and still be run by patterns laid down long before you had one.

What we actually work on

Willpower and discipline, the very tools that got you here, cannot switch off a nervous system alarm, because the pattern sits below conscious control. This is why pushing harder does not fix it. This work goes underneath. Using clinical hypnotherapy and NLP, we work directly with the subconscious patterns and nervous system responses driving the stress, so your baseline shifts from wired to genuinely regulated. The aim is not to make you slower or take your edge away. It is to take you off adrenaline as a fuel source, so the drive stays and the cost comes down.

How it works

This is focused, structured one-to-one work, not open-ended talk therapy. We begin with a confidential conversation about where you are and what you want to change, then work through a tailored program designed to create a real shift and make it hold. Sessions run in person at the Evandale rooms in Adelaide, or online worldwide over Zoom or Teams, which works just as effectively and fits the reality of a leader's schedule and travel. Many clients keep an occasional maintenance session once the core work is done.

Is it evidence-based?

Yes. Hypnotherapy is well supported for stress, anxiety and sleep, the areas most relevant to leadership under load, and nervous system regulation is increasingly recognised as central to both performance and recovery. This is evidence-informed work, and it complements rather than replaces medical care. If burnout has tipped into something more serious, it works alongside your GP or specialist, not instead of them.

A note on your health: if you are dealing with significant burnout, depression or a health concern, please also speak with your GP. This work supports how your nervous system responds to pressure and is designed to work alongside medical care, never as a replacement for it.

Can my organisation fund this?

Often, yes. Many leaders undertake this as a personal investment, and many organisations fund it as leadership development or executive wellbeing for their senior people. If your organisation invests in developing its leaders, an engagement can be arranged and invoiced accordingly. The work itself is identical either way. The conversation about how it is funded simply happens privately, on a call.

Discretion is a given

Senior people rightly expect confidentiality, and it is absolute here. Sessions are completely private, and what is discussed stays between us, within the usual professional and ethical limits. Nothing about this needs to be visible to anyone you do not choose to tell.

I’d been running on fumes for years and calling it drive. I could lead a room all day and not sleep a minute that night. We did not just manage the stress, we went after what was sitting underneath it, and the constant hum in my chest went quiet. I am sharper now, not despite slowing the alarm down, but because of it. It is the best investment I have made in myself.

Lead without running on adrenaline

If any of this sounds like you, the next step is a private, no-pressure conversation about where you are and what is possible. In Adelaide at 166 Payneham Rd, Evandale, or online worldwide over Zoom or Teams.

Frequently asked questions

Can hypnotherapy really help with executive burnout and stress?  Yes. Much of the stress and sleeplessness leaders carry comes from a nervous system stuck in overdrive. Hypnotherapy works at that level to bring your baseline back down, so you perform without running on adrenaline.

Is this coaching or therapy?  It draws on both. It is focused, practical work using clinical hypnotherapy and NLP to change the patterns driving stress and performance, aimed at results rather than open-ended conversation.

I am high functioning, is this really for me?  Yes. Most people who do this work are successful and outwardly fine, while privately wired or exhausted. Nothing needs to be visibly wrong for this to help.

Do sessions work online?  Yes. Sessions run online worldwide over Zoom or Teams and are just as effective as in person, which suits leaders who travel or work across time zones.

Is it confidential?  Completely. Discretion is a given, and what is discussed stays private, within the usual professional and ethical limits.

How long does it take?  It is structured, focused work over a series of sessions rather than something open-ended. You will get a clear picture of what is involved in the first conversation.

Can my company pay for it?  Often yes, as leadership development or executive wellbeing. The funding conversation happens privately on a call.

Will it affect my drive or my edge?  No. The aim is to remove adrenaline as the fuel, not the drive itself. Most people find they think more clearly and perform better once the alarm settles.

Do I lose control under hypnosis?  No. You stay fully aware and in control throughout. It is a focused, relaxed state, not sleep or loss of control.
